Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 - Arriving in October!

Speaking at a press conference in London last week, a Sony Ericsson spokeperson confirmed  that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 will be launched in the UK, Germany and the US at the beginning of October.

This marks something of a change from the official line that the Xperia X1 was only going to get a German launch in 2008, with the UK and US markets having to wait until 2009.  This was put down to delays caused by getting Windows Mobile 6.1 to play nice with the Xperia X1.

So anyways, if you were wanting one for Christmas, then it looks like you’ll be in luck.  Although expect to pay around £600 for the Xperia X1 sim-free and perhaps £150-£200 on an 18 month £35 contract.
